Description

The project was developed by Veolia Environmental Services (UK) and is currently owned by Smurfit Kappa Group.

The electricitiy generated from the plant has offsetted 27,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $267.75m.

Wood waste which is a kind of wood by-product is used as a feedstock to power the project.
