Description
The project was developed by Enel Green Power Mexico S de RL de CV. Caisse de depot et placement du Quebec, CKD Infraestructura Mexico and Enel Green Power Mexico S de RL de CV are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 40.8%, 39.2% and 20% respectively.
The project generates 430GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 85,500 households, offsetting 236,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $150m.

The project is currently active. The project got commissioned in May 2019.

The power generated from the Salitrillos Wind Farm (Salitrillos Wind Farm-I) is sold to Comision Federal de Electricidad under a power purchase agreement for a period of 15 years.
Contractors Involved
Vestas Wind Systems was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The project consists of 30 units of V136-3.45MW turbines, each with 3.45MW nameplate capacity.
Vestas Wind Systems is the O&M contractor for the Salitrillos Wind Farm (Salitrillos Wind Farm-I).
