The H2 total for renewable energy auctions was up 110% year on year compared with the total of ten auctions in H1 2019.
Renewable energy auctions in H2 2019: Europe leads global activity
On comparing renewable energy auctions in different regions of the globe, Europe held the top position with 13 auctions and a share of 61.9% during H2 2019, followed by Asia-Pacific with six auctions and a 28.6% share and Middle East and Africa with one auction and a 4.8% share.
In fourth place was South and Central America with one auction and a 4.8% share.
