Description

The project is currently owned by International Company for Water and Power Projects with a stake of 40.93%.

It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Diesel Oil. The fuel is procured from Egyption Gas.

The project generated 1,295,092MWh of electricity.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to National Electric Power under a power purchase agreement with a contracted capacity is 297MW.

Contractors Involved

Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction and The Kuljian were selected to render EPC services for the gas fired power project.

The Gas fired project have been supplied by GE Power and Mitsubishi Power.

The electric generators for the project were procured from GE Power and Mitsubishi Power.

Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction supplied steam boiler for the project.
