Description
The project is currently owned by Saudi Electricity with a stake of 100%.
It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is crude oil. In case of shortage of crude oil the plant can also run on Diesel.

Rabigh Combined Cycle Power Plant II (Rabigh Combined Cycle Power Plant II Unit I) is equipped with GE Power GT11N gas turbines. The phase consists of 8 gas turbines with 54.7MW nameplate capacity.
Rabigh Combined Cycle Power Plant II (Rabigh Combined Cycle Power Plant II Unit II) is equipped with GE Power steam turbines. The phase consists of 2 steam turbines, each with 133.4MW nameplate capacity.
GE Power supplied electric generator for the project.
John Cockerill Group supplied steam boiler for the project.
