Description

The project was developed by Guizhou Beiyuan Electric Power. The project is currently owned by Guizhou Qianyuan Power with a stake of 50.25%, Guizhou Wujiang Hydropower Development Limited Liability and Guizhou Yayuan Industry and Trade.

Yutang is a reservoir based project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 122.4 million cubic meter. The project generated 312.8 GWh of electricity.

The project construction commenced in 2004 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 2005.

The power generated from the project is sold to China Southern Power Grid under a power purchase agreement.

Sichuan Dongfeng Motor was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 2 units of francis turbines, each with 37.5MW nameplate capacity.

Sichuan Dongfeng Motor supplied 2 electric generators for the project. The generator capacity is 37.5 MVA.
