Description

The project is being developed by PetroVietnam Power and Vung Ang 2 Thermal Power Joint Stock. Korea Electric Power, Mitsubishi, The Chugoku Electric Power and Shikoku Electric Power are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 40%, 25%, 20% and 15% respectively.

It is a Steam Turbine power plant.

Development status

Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2024.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project will be sold to Vietnam Electricity under a power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years.

Contractors involved

China Energy Engineering Group Guangdong Power Engineering, Doosan Enerbility, GE Power and Samsung C&T are expected to render engineering procurement construction services for the coal fired power project.

PetroVietnam Power is expected to perform operations and maintenance for thermal power project.
