Description

The project was developed by Hive Energy. Repsol and The Renewables Infrastructure Group are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 51% and 49% respectively.

Valdecaballeros Solar PV Park 1 is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 500 hectares.

The project generates 514,490MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 140,000 households, offsetting 211,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The project consists of 648,000 modules.

The project construction commenced in 2020 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in July 2021.

Contractors involved

The project is utilising horizontal single axis trackers supplied by PVHardware.
