Description
The project was developed by Sichuan Huaneng Taipingyi Hydropower. China Huaneng Group and Aba Prefecture Hydropower Development are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 60% and 40% respectively.
Taipingyi is a reservoir based project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 0.9 million cubic meter. The total number of penstocks, pipes or long channels that carry water down from the hydroelectric reservoir to the turbines inside the actual power station, are 2 in number. The penstock diameter is 6m. The project generated 1,530 GWh of electricity.
