Description
The project is being developed and currently owned by Green Power Investment and Pattern Energy Group. The owners have 50% stake in the project respectively.
The project is expected to supply enough clean energy to power 30,000 households, to offset 329,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is expected to be around $361.412m.
The project will have 94-114m high towers.
Development status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2021. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2023.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project will be sold to Tohoku Electric Power under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years. The offtake capacity is expected to be 100MW.
Contractors involved
Vestas Wind Systems will be the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company is expected to provide 27 units of V117-4.2 MW turbines, each with 4.2MW nameplate capacity.
Vestas Wind Systems is expected to perform operations and maintenance for the wind power project.
