Description

The project is developed and owned by Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand.

Sirindhorn Dam Hybrid Solar PV Park is a floating solar project which is spread over an area of 121 hectares.

The electricitiy generated from the plant has offsetted 47,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The project construction commenced in 2020 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in October 2021.

Contractors involved

BGrimm Power and China Energy Engineering were selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.

JA Solar Holdings was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company installed 144,420 modules at the site.

Sungrow Power Supply supplied its SG3400HV inverters to the project site.

Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) is a state-owned power utility. It generates, procures, transmits and distributes electricity. The authority produces energy using hydro, coal, natural gas, geothermal, wind, solar, diesel, fuel oil and palm oil, among others.
