The Singrauli Super Thermal Power Station is 3,600MW coal fired power project. It is planned in Uttar Pradesh, India. According to GlobalData, who tracks and profiles over 170,000 power plants worldwide, the project is currently at the partially active stage. It will be developed in multiple phases. Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in June 1982. Buy the profile here.
Description
The project is being developed and currently owned by NTPC. The company has a stake of 100%.
It is a Steam Turbine power plant that will be used for Baseload. The power plant can run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant will be coal. In case of shortage of coal the plant will run on Heavy Fuel Oil. The fuel will be procured from Jayant/Bina Mines.
Singrauli Super Thermal Power Station (Singrauli Super Thermal Power Station Stage III Unit I) consists of 1 steam turbine with 800MW nameplate capacity.
