Description

The project was developed by Morinomiyako Biomass Energy GK. Renova, United Purpose Management, Mizuho Leasing, Sumitomo Forestry and Daiwa Energy & Infrastructure are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 29%, 25%, 17%, 15% and 14% respectively.

Agricultural by-product and wood by-product are used as a feedstock to power the project.

Development status

The project construction commenced in 2021 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in November 2023.

Contractors involved

Sumitomo Heavy Industries supplied steam boiler for the project.
