Description
The project is being developed and currently owned by Spark Green Energy Satara.
The project is expected to generate 142.56GWh electricity to offset 858,156t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.
The process of combustion will be adopted in this project to release the stored energy from the feed. Agricultural by-product will be used as a feedstock to power the project.
The project consists of 2 turbines, each with 12.5MW nameplate capacity.
Development status
Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2025.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project will be sold to Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport Undertaking under a power purchase agreement.
