The project is being developed and currently owned by Sao Roque Energetica.

Sao Roque is a reservoir based project. The gross head of the project will be 53m. Weg Electric Equipment is expected to supply 3 electric generators for the project. The generator capacity is likely to be 50.5 MVA.
