Description
The project is being developed and currently owned by Godavari Biorefineries.
The process of combustion will be adopted in this combined heat and power (CHP) project to release the stored energy from the feed. Bagasse which is a kind of agricultural by-product will be used as a feedstock to power the project.
Sameerwadi Biomass Power Plant (Godavari Biorefineries Biomass Plant Phase III) consists of 1 unit of Double Extraction cum Condensing Turbine turbine with 35MW nameplate capacity.
Development status
Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2002.
Contractors involved
Sameerwadi Biomass Power Plant (Godavari Biorefineries Biomass Plant Phase I) will be equipped with Bharat Heavy Electricals Double Extraction cum Condensing Turbine turbine. The phase consists of 1 turbine with 24MW nameplate capacity.
Sameerwadi Biomass Power Plant (Godavari Biorefineries Biomass Plant Phase II) will be equipped with Shin Nippon Machinery Single Extraction cum Back Pressure Turbine turbine. The phase consists of 1 turbine with 21.56MW nameplate capacity.
Mitsui Babcock Harbin Boiler is likely to be the supplier of the steam boiler for the project. The boiler that will get installed at the site is expected to have a capacity of 130TPH. The temperature expected to be witnessed inside the boiler will be around 495Degree Celsius. The steam will be pressurized inside the boiler at 64.72bar.
ISGEC John Thompson is likely to be the supplier of the steam boiler for the project. The boiler that will get installed at the site is expected to have a capacity of 120TPH. The temperature expected to be witnessed inside the boiler will be around 515Degree Celsius. The steam will be pressurized inside the boiler at 85.31bar.
Desein is expected to perform operations and maintenance for the project.
