Description

The project is being developed by Anaergia. The project is currently owned by First Sentier Investors (Australia) IM with a stake of 49% and Anaergia.

The electricitiy generated from the plant will offset 220,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The process of anaerobic digestion will be adopted in this project to release the stored energy from the feed. Food waste which is a kind of municipal solid waste will be used as a feedstock to power the project.

Development status

Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2024.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project will be sold to Southern California Edison under a power purchase agreement. The offtake capacity is expected to be 3MW.
