Description

The project was developed by Hyundai, Hyundai Engineering & Construction and KEPCO Engineering and Construction. The project is currently owned by Administracion Nacional de Usinas y Trasmisiones Electricas.

It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Diesel. The fuel is procured from Cruz del Sur Pipeline.

Punta Del Tigre B Combined Cycle Power Plant (Punta Del Tigre B Combined Cycle Power Plant Unit I) is equipped with Siemens SGT5-2000E gas turbine. The phase consists of 1 gas turbine with 171MW nameplate capacity.

Punta Del Tigre B Combined Cycle Power Plant (Punta Del Tigre B Combined Cycle Power Plant Unit II) is equipped with Siemens SGT5-2000E gas turbine. The phase consists of 1 gas turbine with 171MW nameplate capacity.

Punta Del Tigre B Combined Cycle Power Plant (Punta Del Tigre B Combined Cycle Power Plant Unit III) is equipped with Doosan Skoda Power ŠKODA DST-S20 steam turbine. The phase consists of 1 steam turbine with 189MW nameplate capacity.

The electric generators for the project were procured from Doosan Skoda Power and Siemens.
