Description

The project was developed by EDF Renewables Canada. EDF Renewables Canada, Regie Intermunicipale de Lenergie du Bas-Saint-Laurent and Regie intermunicipale de lenergie Gaspesie-Iles-de-la-Madeleine are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 50%, 33.33% and 16.67% respectively.

The project generates 677,315MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 35,000 households.

The project has 116.5m high towers.

Development status

The project is currently active. The project got commissioned in January 2018.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Hydro-Quebec under a power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years.

Contractors involved

Borea Construction was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the wind power project.

Vestas Wind Systems was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 65 units of V117-3.45 MW turbines, each with 3.45MW nameplate capacity.

Vestas Wind Systems is the O&M contractor for the wind power project for a period of 10 years.
