Description

The project is being developed by THDCIL-UJVNL Energy. THDC India and Uttarakhand Jal Vidyut Nigam are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 74% and 26% respectively.

The hydro reservoir capacity is planned to be 1.017 million cubic meter. The gross head and net head of the project will be 113m and 103m respectively. The total number of penstocks, pipes or long channels that carry water down from the hydroelectric reservoir to the turbines inside the actual power station, is expected to be 1 in number. The penstock length will be 203m. The penstock diameter will be 4m. The project is expected to generate 318.89 GWh of electricity.

The hydro power project consists of 2 turbines, each with 32MW nameplate capacity.

The project will have 2 electric generators installed at the project site. The generator capacity is likely to be 42 MVA.

Development status

Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2026.
