Description
The project is being developed by Petroleum Sarawak and is currently owned by PETROS Power Sdn with a stake of 100%.
It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The power plant can run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant will be natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant will run on Hydrogen. The fuel will be procured from Petroliam Nasional Bhd.
Development status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2026. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2027.
