The project is being developed by Exelon and Michigan Wind 3. Constellation Energy Generation and John Hancock Life Insurance are currently owning the project.

Power purchase agreement

Consumers Energy and Wolverine Power are expected to be the power offtakers from the project.

Contractors involved

Infrastructure and Energy Alternatives is expected to render engineering procurement construction services for the Michigan Wind Farm (Michigan Wind I Farm).

Michigan Wind Farm (Michigan Wind I Farm) will be equipped with GE Renewable Energy 1.5-77 turbines. The phase consists of 46 turbines with 1.5MW nameplate capacity.

Michigan Wind Farm (Michigan Wind II Farm) will be equipped with Vestas Wind Systems V100-1.8 MW turbines. The phase consists of 50 turbines with 1.8MW nameplate capacity.

Michigan Wind Farm (Michigan Wind III Farm - Phase I) will be equipped with GE Renewable Energy turbines. The phase consists of 7 turbines, each with 1.79MW nameplate capacity.

Michigan Wind Farm (Michigan Wind III Farm - Phase II) will be equipped with GE Renewable Energy 2.3 MW-116 turbines. The phase consists of 61 turbines with 2.3MW nameplate capacity.

Vestas Wind Systems is expected to perform operations and maintenance for the Michigan Wind Farm (Michigan Wind II Farm). The operation and maintenance contract tenure will likely be commencing from 2011, for a period of 10 years.
