Description

The project was developed by Akdeniz Elektrik Uretim and Galata Wind Enerji. The project is currently owned by Dogan Sirketler Grubu Holding with a stake of 100%.

The project generates 200,000MWh electricity thereby offsetting 110,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The Mersin (Mersin Phase I), has 80m high towers.

The Mersin (Mersin Phase II), has 80m high towers.

Mersin (Mersin Phase I) is equipped with Vestas Wind Systems V90-3.0 MW turbines. The phase consists of 11 turbines with 3MW nameplate capacity.

Mersin (Mersin Phase II) is equipped with Vestas Wind Systems V90-3.0 MW turbines. The phase consists of 3 turbines with 3MW nameplate capacity.

Mersin (Mersin Phase III) is equipped with Vestas Wind Systems V112-3.45 MW turbines. The phase consists of 6 turbines with 3.45MW nameplate capacity.

Vestas Wind Systems is the O&M contractor for the Mersin (Mersin Phase I). The operation and maintenance contract commenced from 2010, for a period of 5 years.
