Description
The project was developed by EDF Renewables Canada, Hydromega Services and Renewable Energy Services. Canada Pension Plan Investment Board and EDF Renewables Canada are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 80% and 20% respectively.
The project generates 500,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 31,677 households.

Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Hydro-Quebec under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years, starting from 2013.

Massif du Sud (Massif du Sud I) is equipped with Senvion MM82 turbines. The phase consists of 31 turbines with 2MW nameplate capacity.
Massif du Sud (Massif du Sud II) is equipped with Senvion MM92 turbines. The phase consists of 44 turbines with 2MW nameplate capacity.
EDF Renewable Services is the O&M contractor for the wind power project, commencing from the year 2013.
