Description
The project is being developed by Masdar Tribe Energy Holdings, Paper Australia and SUEZ Australia Holding. Abu Dhabi Future Energy, Paper Australia and Tribe Infrastructure Group are currently owning the project.
The project is expected to supply enough clean energy to power 50,000 households.
The process of combustion will be adopted in this combined heat and power (CHP) project to release the stored energy from the feed. Industrial waste and municipal solid waste will be used as a feedstock to power the project.
Development status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2024. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2025.
