Description

The project is developed and owned by Mangdechhu Hydroelectric Project Authority. The company has a stake of 100%.

Mangdechhu is a run-of-river project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 0.957 million cubic meter. The gross head and net head of the project are 733m and 692m respectively. Bharat Heavy Electricals was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 4 units of pelton turbines, each with 180MW nameplate capacity.

GE Power India supplied 4 electric generators for the project. The generator capacity is 222.22 MVA.

Druk Green Power is the O&M contractor for the hydro power project.
