Statkraft, Lyse, Agder Energi, Sunnhordland Kraftlag and Skagerak Energi are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 72%, 17.96%, 6.01%, 2.54% and 1.49% respectively.

Kvilldal is a reservoir based project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 3,100 million cubic meter. The gross head of the project is 530m. The project generated 3,131.2 GWh of electricity.
