State Development and Investment and Sichuan Provincial Investment Group are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 52% and 48% respectively.

Kela Phase I Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 16 km².

The project generates 2,000,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 1,000,000 households, offsetting 1,600,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The project construction commenced in 2022 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in July 2023.

Contractors involved

Powerchina Chengdu Engineering was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.

Astronergy Solar was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company provided 2,000,000 modules each with 550W of nameplate capacity.

Huawei Technologies supplied 5,300 inverters to the project site.
