Description

Ratchaburi Alliances, The Hongkong Electric, JERA Power (Thailand), PTT Public, Saha-Union Public and Toyota Tsusho are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 25%, 25%, 15%, 15%, 10% and 10% respectively.

It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Diesel.

Development status

The project construction commenced in 2006 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in March 2008.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand under a power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years, starting from 2008.
