The project is developed and owned by FS Japan Project 12 GK. The company has a stake of 100%.

Ishikawa Sawakawa Solar Power Plant is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 163 hectares.

The project generates 78,800MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 18,000 households, offsetting 35,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Development status

The project got commissioned in December 2018.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Hokuriku Electric Power under a power purchase agreement from 2018. The contracted capacity is 59.52MW.

Contractors involved

Raiznext was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.

First Solar was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company provided 593,400 modules each with 120W of nameplate capacity.

Toshiba Mitsubishi-Electric Industrial Systems supplied 25 of its Solar Ware 2500ER inverters to the project site.

First Solar Japan GK is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project.
