Description

The project was developed by Hirohata Biomass Power Generation. Gas and Power Solution and Kyuden Mirai Energy are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 90% and 10% respectively.

Wood chips which is a kind of wood by-product is used as a feedstock to power the project.

Contractors involved

Nippon Steel Engineering was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the biopower project.

Siemens was selected as the steam turbine supplier for the project. The company provided 1 turbine with 75MW nameplate capacity.

Sumitomo Heavy Industries supplied steam boiler for the project. The boiler installed at the site has a capacity of 245TPH.

Nippon Steel Engineering is the O&M contractor for the project.
