Description
The project is being developed by GK Happo Noshiro Offshore Wind. The project is co-owned by Iberdrola Renewables Japan, Japan Renewable Energy, Others and Tohoku Electric Power, with their respective ownership stake of 25% each. The project will be spread over an area of 40km². The turbines will be mounted on fixed monopile foundations.
Development status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2026. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by June 2029.

Vestas Offshore Wind will be the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company is expected to provide 25 turbines, each with 15MW nameplate capacity.
