The project was developed by Abengoa, Elmya, FCC Industrial e Infraestructuras Energeticas, Iberdrola and Rosseti Engenharia. The project is currently owned by Iberdrola with a stake of 100%.

Francisco Pizarro Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 1,300 hectares.

The project generates 73,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 334,000 households, offsetting 150,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The project consists of 512,000 modules.

Danone Espana and PepsiCo are the power offtakers from the project.

Elmya was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.
