Description

The project was developed by Desert Technologies. Catalyst Investment Management, Desert Technologies, Enerray and SECI Energia are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 50%, 25%, 24% and 1% respectively.

Falcon Maan Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 500,000 square meters.

The project generates 147,000MWh electricity thereby offsetting 25,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Development status

The project got commissioned in December 2016.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to National Electric Power under a power purchase agreement. The power is sold at the rate of $0.17kWh for a period of 20 years. The contracted capacity is 20MW.

Contractors involved

Desert Technologies and Enerray were selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.

Jinko Solar was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company provided 73,320 modules each with 305W of nameplate capacity.

SMA Solar Technology supplied 2 of its CP XT 900 inverters to the project site.

Enerray is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project.
