Description

The project is being developed by ACWA Power Dzhankeldy Wind. The project is co-owned by Acwa Power and China Southern Power Grid, with their respective ownership stake of 50% each.

The project is expected to generate 1,550,000MWh electricity to offset 890,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Development status

The project construction is expected to commence from 2022. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by December 2025.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project will be sold to JSC National Electric Networks of Uzbekistan under a power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years. The offtake capacity is expected to be 513.5MW.

Contractors involved

China Energy Engineering is expected to render engineering procurement construction services for the wind power project.

Envision Energy will be the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company is expected to provide 79 units of EN 171-6.5 turbines, each with 6.5MW nameplate capacity.

The First National Operation & Maintenance is expected to perform operations and maintenance for the wind power project.
