Description

The project was developed by Scatec. STANLIB and H1 Holdings are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 60% and 40% respectively.

Dyasons Klip 2 Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project.

The project generates 217GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 40,000 households, offsetting 600,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Development status

The project got commissioned in April 2020.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Eskom Holdings SOC under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years. The contracted capacity is 75MW.

Contractors involved

Scatec was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.

BYD was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company provided 277,500 modules each with 310W of nameplate capacity.

SMA Solar Technology supplied 37 of its Sunny Central 2200 inverters to the project site.

Scatec is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project.
