Description

The project was developed by Apex Clean Energy Holdings and DragonFly Solar. The project is currently owned by Algonquin Power & Utilities with a stake of 100%.

Dragonfly Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 1,200 acres.

The project generates 160,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 15,000 households, offsetting 120,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The project consists of 300,000 modules.

Development status

The project construction commenced in 2020 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in June 2021.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Meta Platforms under a power purchase agreement with a contracted capacity is 61.6MW.
