The project was developed by Northland Deutsche Bucht and is currently owned by Northland Power with a stake of 100%.
The wind turbines in the Deutsche Bucht I are installed on fixed foundations. An array of monopile foundations feature in the phase.

Vestas Offshore Wind was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The project consists of 33 units of V164-8.0 MW Offshore turbines, each with 8.4MW nameplate capacity.
Vestas Offshore Wind is the O&M contractor for the Deutsche Bucht (Deutsche Bucht I). The operation and maintenance contract commenced from 2019, for a period of 15 years.
