Description

The project is being developed by Quantel Renewable Energy. Quantel Renewable Energy, Frontier Investment Management and Vidullanka are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 33.34%, 33.33% and 33.33% respectively.

Bwengu Solar Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is planned over 126 acres.

The electricitiy generated from the plant will offset 11,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Development status

The project construction is expected to commence from 2022. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2024.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project will be sold to Power Market under a power purchase agreement. The offtake capacity is expected to be 50MW.
