Description

The project was developed by Enel Green Power and Reach Solar Energy. The project is co-owned by Dif Infrastructure IV Cooperatief UA and Enel Green Power, with their respective ownership stake of 50% each.

Bungala Solar Project is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 600 hectares.

The project generates 570GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 82,000 households, offsetting 520,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Development status

The project got commissioned in May 2018.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Origin Energy under a power purchase agreement for a period of 12 years from 2018. The contracted capacity is 220MW.

Contractors involved

Green Light Contractors was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.

JinkoSolar Holding was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company installed 800,000 modules at the site.

The inverters were procured from SMA Solar Technology for the project.

The project is utilising single axis trackers supplied by NEXTracker.

Elecnor is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project for a period of 5 years.
