Description
The project is being developed by Ocean Winds. Global Infrastructure Partners, EDP Renovaveis and Engie are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 50%, 25% and 25% respectively.
The project is expected to generate 9,460,800MWh electricity and supply enough clean energy to power 1,000,000 households. The project is expected to offset 5,000,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project will be spread over an area of 289km². The turbines will be mounted on fixed type foundations.
Development status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2028. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2030.
