Description

The project was developed by Wind Capital Group. Constellation Energy Generation and John Hancock Life Insurance are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 51% and 49% respectively.

The project supplies enough clean energy to power 16,780 households, offsetting 100,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Associated Electric Cooperative under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years, starting from 2008.

Contractors involved

Suzlon Energy was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 27 units of S88-2.1 MW turbines, each with 2.1MW nameplate capacity.
