Description
The project is developed and owned by Beximco Power and TBEA Xinjiang Sunoasis. The company's ownership stake in the project stands as 80% and 20% respectively.
Beximco Gaibandha Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 600 acres.
The project generates 395GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 200,000 households, offsetting 316,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Bangladesh Power Development Board under a power purchase agreement. The power is sold at the rate of $0.15kWh for a period of 20 years. The contracted capacity is 200MW.
Contractors involved
Rays Power Infra and SgurrEnergy were selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.
LONGi Solar Technology was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company installed 550,000 modules at the site.
The inverters were procured from Sungrow Power Supply for the project.
Rays Power Infra is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project for a period of 5 years.
