Description

The project was developed by Belwind. Parkwind, Sumitomo and Meewind are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 41%, 39% and 20% respectively.

The wind turbines in the project are installed on fixed foundations. An array of monopile foundations feature in the project.

The project generates 550,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 160,000 households, offsetting 160,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The project is currently active. The project got commissioned in December 2010.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Electrabel under a power purchase agreement, starting from 2011.

Contractors involved

Van Oord was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the wind power project.

Vestas Wind Systems was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 55 units of V90-3.0 MW turbines, each with 3MW nameplate capacity.

Vestas Offshore Wind is the O&M contractor for the wind power project. The operation and maintenance contract commenced from 2011, for a period of 5 years.
