Description

The project was developed by Foresight Solar Australia (UK) and Syncline Energy. Foresight Group, KDB Infrastructure Investment Asset Management and Hanwha Energy Corporation Singapore are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 48.5%, 48.5% and 3% respectively.

Bannerton Orchard Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 192 hectares.

The project supplies enough clean energy to power 40,000 households, offsetting 88,400t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Development status

The project construction commenced in 2017 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in July 2019.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Alinta Energy under a power purchase agreement for a period of 17 years. The contracted capacity is 88MW.

Contractors involved

UGL was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.

Hanwha Solutions was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company provided 319,406 modules each with 345W of nameplate capacity.

The inverters were procured from SMA Solar Technology for the project.

UGL is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project for a period of 2 years.
