The project is being developed and currently owned by Rayala Wind Power. The company has a stake of 100%.

The Balavenkatpuram Wind Farm (Balavenkatpuram Wind Farm 1B), will have 90m high towers.

The power generated from the Balavenkatpuram Wind Farm (Balavenkatpuram Wind Farm 1B) will be sold to Transmission Corporation of Andhra Pradesh under a power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years, starting from 2014.

The power generated from the Balavenkatpuram Wind Farm (Balavenkatpuram Wind Farm 2A) will be sold to Transmission Corporation of Andhra Pradesh under a power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years, starting from 2014.

Contractors involved

Balavenkatpuram Wind Farm (Balavenkatpuram Wind Farm 1A) will be equipped with GE Renewable Energy GE 1.6 XLE turbines. The phase consists of 32 turbines with 1.6MW nameplate capacity.

Balavenkatpuram Wind Farm (Balavenkatpuram Wind Farm 1B) will be equipped with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy G97-2.0 MW turbines. The phase consists of 25 turbines with 2MW nameplate capacity.

Balavenkatpuram Wind Farm (Balavenkatpuram Wind Farm 2A) will be equipped with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy G97-2.0 MW turbines. The phase consists of 25 turbines with 2MW nameplate capacity.
