Description

The project is being developed by Madhya Pradesh Power Generating. The project is co-owned by Madhya Pradesh Power Generating and South Eastern Coalfields, with their respective ownership stake of 50% each.

It is a Steam Turbine power plant that will be used for Baseload. The power plant can run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant will be coal. In case of shortage of coal the plant will run on Light Diesel Oil. The fuel will be procured from South Eastern Coalfields Limited.

The Coal fired project consists of 1 steam turbine with 660MW nameplate capacity.

Development status

The project construction is expected to commence from 2026. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2028.
