Description
The project is being developed by Al Mulla Group and Constructions Industrielles de la Mediterranee. Al Mulla Group, Constructions Industrielles de la Mediterranee and Gulf Investment are currently owning the project.
The project is expected to generate 650GWh of electricity.
The process of combustion will be adopted in this project to release the stored energy from the feed. Refuse which is a kind of municipal solid waste will be used as a feedstock to power the project.
Development status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2022. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2024.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project will be sold to Ministry of Electricity & Water & Renewable Energy, Kuwait under a power purchase agreement.
