Looking at global power contracts activity divided by the type of technology, solar held the top position in terms of number of contracts during Q2 2020 with a 49.7% share.
The proportion of contracts by category in the Solar technology tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:
- Project Implementation: 313 contracts and a 64.7% share
- Power Purchase Agreement: 95 contracts and a 19.6% share
- Supply & Erection: 61 contracts and a 12.6% share
- Consulting & Similar Services: six contracts and a 1.2% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: five contracts and a 1% share
- Electricity Supply: four contracts and a 0.8% share.

Comparing contracts activity in solar technology in different regions of the globe, Europe held the top position with 240 contracts and a share of 49.6% during Q2 2020, followed by North America with 109 contracts and a 22.5% share and Asia-Pacific with 96 contracts and a 19.8% share.
