Looking at global power contracts activity divided by the type of technology, solar held the top position in terms of number of contracts during January 2020 with a 44% share.
The proportion of contracts by category in the Solar technology tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Power Purchase Agreement: 31 contracts and a 35.2% share
- Project Implementation: 31 contracts and a 35.2% share
- Supply & Erection: 14 contracts and a 15.9% share
- Electricity Supply: six contracts and a 6.8% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: four contracts and a 4.5% share
- Consulting & Similar Services: two contracts and a 2.3% share.
North America leads solar contracts activity in January 2020
Comparing contracts activity in solar technology in different regions of the globe, North America held the top position with 25 contracts and a share of 28.4% during January 2020, followed by Asia-Pacific with 24 contracts and a 27.3% share and Europe with 22 contracts and a 25% share.
