Looking at global power contracts activity divided by the type of technology, solar held the top position in terms of number of contracts during January 2020 with a 44% share.

The proportion of contracts by category in the Solar technology tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

  1. Power Purchase Agreement: 31 contracts and a 35.2% share
  2. Project Implementation: 31 contracts and a 35.2% share
  3. Supply & Erection: 14 contracts and a 15.9% share

Comparing contracts activity in solar technology in different regions of the globe, North America held the top position with 25 contracts and a share of 28.4% during January 2020, followed by Asia-Pacific with 24 contracts and a 27.3% share and Europe with 22 contracts and a 25% share.
